For Immediate Release: April 2010
West Chester Pa – April 2010 – Haas Group International Inc. has been named a leading place to work in a Top Workplaces survey by the Philadelphia Inquirer daily newspaper.
The newspaper surveyed the company’s employees in the Philadelphia, PA region late last year as part of its annual Top Workplaces poll.
Haas employees cited the company’s ability to continue profitable growth during difficult economic conditions as well as supportive leadership and flexible hours as key reasons for the selection.
“My manager is very supportive and optimistic. Our company continues to be on the cutting edge of our field and remains profitable in this dreadful economy. This is because our CEO surrounds himself with managers who are team players and do not have huge egos,” one employee said.
“Starting with the CEO and including all EVP's, they are very humble and never ask the employees to do anything they would not do. They are brilliant at keeping the company a leader in its field,” said another employee.
In recent years, Haas has expanded from a North America-wide business to a global enterprise with businesses and operations across Europe, Asia and Latin America. The company provides chemical management services, product distribution, logistics and hazardous communication services to a diverse range of customers in many sectors of the economy.
Annual revenues have doubled since 2007 as a result of acquisitions and greenfield expansion.
“Since my father, Jack Fortin, acquired the business in 1975 we have continued to operate with the values and commitments of a family business even though we now operate on a global scale and employ more than one thousand people. We believe in the simple philosophy that employee satisfaction results in satisfied customers which produces positive results for shareholders,” said Thad Fortin, Chief Executive Officer.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with the right material at the right place and time, in the right way and at the right cost. The commitment and effort of our employees makes this goal achievable,” he added.
Haas Group International Inc. is the first integrated, global chemical business offering chemical management services, product distribution, logistics and hazardous communication services to a diverse range of customers in the global aerospace and defense, auotmotive, manufacturing, electronics, government, health care and other sectors.
